While the school officials act as if this is the most obvious response to their perceived problems, parents have had almost no input. If you are a parent and were involved in the planning for these terror drills LEAVE A COMMENT! What on earth were you thinking about!

Teaching children lockdown procedures is going to override their natural fight or flight response to danger with a very convenient sit there and wait your turn to be shot mentality. FIGHT or FLIGHT! It has served us well for thousands of years.

Let's take a moment to think of it from an administrators perspective. Having all the sheep go and lock themselves in their cages while you ferret out danger whether real or imagined is easy. I don't care if that's the EASY solution! It's NOT RIGHT! In fact it's a crime called forcible confinement punishable by 10 years imprisonment!

People that are willing to give up their freedom in exchange for safety are neither free nor safe. These people willingly walk into a very familiar trap that has been used to kill millions of human beings. Whether this is the intent of those imposing the lock down procedures or not is irrelevant. Free people have freedom of movement, lock down procedures violate this freedom. When it comes to self preservation I have a right to follow instincts. When it comes to protecting our kids, I trust their instincts more that I trust the authorities as well. Look at Columbine, how long did the police wait outside while the kids were being shot? The cops were making themselves useful by holding back the parents.

Which brings me to another point. Did you know the kids are NOT ALLOWED to use their cell phones in a lock down? So some whacknut walks into the school with a gun and the kids are NOT ALLOWED to call their parents? I guess sheep are not even going to be permitted any last words.

Ladies and gentlemen understand something, very, very important. The schools and their administrators are CONTRACTORS. They get paid by the Government and are to take their direction from PARENTS! This is why school trustee's are elected positions. The parents have political control over these education institutions.

Approval is granted for your group to conduct a march and information pickets on the sidewalks of the City of Ottawa right-of-way, subject to the following conditions:

a. The march may commence at approximately 11:00 a.m. and terminate at approximately 12:00 noon on Thursday, 11 September 2008.

b. The march route shall be restricted to the sidewalks of Wellington Street (north side) between the Supreme Court of Canada and Parliament Hill. The Police shall determine the precise parameters of the march.

c. The information pickets may commence between 11:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 11 September 2008, Friday, 12 September 2008, Saturday, 13 September 2008, Sunday,
14 September 2008 and Monday, 15 September 2008 at the following locations:
(1) Wellington Street (north side) in front of Parliament Hill (Bank Street entrance – east and west intersections);
(2) Wellington Street (north side) between Parliaments Hill (Metcalfe Street entrance) and Fairmont Château Laurier;
(3) Laurier Avenue (south side) in front of Ottawa City Hall;
(4) Rideau Street (north side) in front of the Bay, and

e. Approval for use of Parliament Hill must be secured from Ms. Andrée Saint-Louis, Parliament Hill, at 819-934-5436.

f. Signs or banners, other than plastic foam core signs, must be made of cardboard or cloth/nylon. Plastic foam core signs must be limited to 1.0 cm in thickness, 41.0 cm in width and 61.0 cm in length. All types of signs or banners must be supported by cardboard or softwood supports no larger than 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm. These supports must not exceed 2.0 m in length. The ends of the supports must not be pointed or sharp.

g. In accordance with City of Ottawa Noise By-law 2004-253, the use of a sound reproduction or sound amplification device during a special event is permitted provided the device is operated in a reasonable manner in the context of the special event, and does not create noise likely to cause a nuisance or disturb the inhabitants of the City. In the event the device is used after 11:00 p.m., a Noise By-law Exemption is required.

h. In accordance with Subsection 2.6.3.4 of the Ontario Fire Code, open air burning is not permitted unless approved, or unless such burning consists of a small, confined fire, supervised at all times, and used to cook food on a grill or a barbecue.

i. The information pickets shall not obstruct the passage of pedestrians or block private or public accesses. The permit does not convey permission to use private property.

j. The attached Release of Claims and Waiver of Liability form must be completed and signed by a person who has signing authority within your organization.

This Special Event Permit takes effect only if we receive the completed and signed waiver form.

You are hereby served notice that this Special Event Permit is subject to summary cancellation for non-compliance with any of the permit conditions.

Time for Ottawa once again to voice it heard in opposition to trade deals like the SPP and TILMA that threaten our nation's sovereignity.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) is an executive-level pact between the governments and corporate sectors of Canada, the United States and Mexico. SPP was signed in 2005 by then Prime Minister Paul Martin, Georges W. Bush and Vicente Fox and has never debated publicly or voted on in any of the three countries. There are over 300 initiatives in the SPP aimed at harmonizing North American policies on food, drugs, security, immigration, manufacturing, the environment and public health.

A new free trade pact was signed on April 1st,2007 between Alberta and BC. It's called the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) has a devastating effect on local democracy, public health and the environment. While currently confined to Western Canada, provincial governments in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and the Maritimes have all shown an interest in signing on, or in developing their own regional versions of TILMA. This trade deal allows private companies to legally challenge our laws, regulations, policies and programs. TILMA completely subordinates the public good to private, commercial interests.

This is a Ottawa rally to voice our concerns to the public, and to the government, about our opposition of the SPP and the agenda for a North American Union. The SPP is a plan to end the sovereignty of Canada,the United States and Mexico, which will erode our rights and freedoms as Canadians. This framework is being pushed through behind closed doors without the input of Canadian citizens.

It's time to take a STAND for Canada.

Colin Powell Confronted in Vancouver.
Today WeAreChangeVancouver confronted Colin Powell at the Vancouver Convention Center. Powell was in town to talk about Leadership in the 21st Century. The organizers of the event sold tickets promising "no questions" would be turned away.

Three members from WeAreChange and a member of Vancouver 911 Truth went inside the venue to ask Powell about War crimes and Depleted Uranium use.

We soon found out that the organizers lied and the question asking would be limited to writing your question down and submitting them. Talk about false advertising.

Powell spoke on his strong leadership and keeping the troops safe....It was quite nauseating when considering DU is poisoning his own troops and he showed zero leadership when it came time to lie to the World at the U.N Security Council about Iraqi WMD's. While Powell was speaking you could here the bullhorning from the outside. Not clearly but enough to bring a smile to my face. We had multiple cameras filming outside and were able to sneak a camera into the event for safety purposes. The question period consisted of " Who do you like better ? The Celtics or Lakers ? and " McCain or Obama" blah blah blah.. All softballs.

Near the end of the question period i stood up and loudly asked Powell about DU use and war crimes. I was quickly escorted out by VPD who were actually decent to me. No taser ! They said "You made your point ...time to leave" I didn't resist and followed their request.. Although i had a ticket to the event and it was advertised that no question would be turned away i was ejected.

As i was getting ejected a fellow WeAreChange member stood up and asked the same question and he also had to leave the building. No less than 30 seconds later a female member of Vancouver 911 stood up and went at Powell again. She was grabbed by the arm and physically manhandled out the venue. This woman is 5 foot tall and teaches ballet for christsake. Her arm is sore and she is suffering some discomfort. The video doesn't look good for the goon that manhandled her. As i left the building out onto the sidewalk i was shocked to see our videographer Mike in handcuffs.

He came out to document the protestors on behalf of WeAreChange Vancouver and to submit the footage to some independant media sites such as WeAreChange,InfoWars,PrisonPlanet and TruthNews. I was quite confused to see Mike in handcuffs. He is your quintessential "nice guy".

People had been bullhorning Powell for an hour and a half without arrest yet he is the guy that ends up arrested. I politely asked the officer what he was being charged with and was told possibly Tresspassing. Tresspassing ?

Reviewing Mike's footage it's clear that Mike was singled out because he was filming the same police officer more than once. With people getting tasered here 24/7 it's unfortunate that the police officer in question reacted so harshly. Another one of our members was followed home on his bike and stopped twice for not wearing a helmut. Harassement? Mike was taken to the Main/Hastings Street Jail in the heart of Vancouver's notorious Lower Eastside. We walked over. There were people shooting heroin into their legs less than a 100 yards from the jail... yet our cameraman was imprisoned for being on a "private sidewalk"

We had a representitve from Lawyers Against War call on our behalf and secure Mike's release 8 hours later. Mike spent hours in a cage surrounded by crack fiends and scumbags. He now has a court date and is being charged. In Canada war crimes are no longer an offense but filming on a private sidewalk is.

Thankfully we got all of our footage out of the venue. We had a middle aged ballet teacher assaulted and our camera man jailed but we live to fight for truth and justice another day

and oh yeah.....The video is going to worthy.

Mr. Colin Powell should not have been allowed into the country as Canada has strict laws that bar entry when there are reasonable grounds to believe a person has either been involved in the commission of war crimes or crimes against humanity or been a senior member of a government that has engaged in gross human rights violations. Mr. Powell's complicity in Depleted Uranium use, extraordinary rendition, the use of torture and inhuman treatment,, indiscriminate killing of civilians etc... makes him inadmissible into Canada. Once a person credibly accused of complicity in torture, such as Colin Powell enters the country, Canada must either prosecute of extradite to another country willing to prosecute.

Lawyers Against War had put Canadian Immigration Minister Diane Finley and the Prime Minister on notice of Canada=92s duty to bar entry or to arrest and prosecute Colin Powell and received no response. Unfortunately it was left to concerned citizens to step up to promote adherence to the law.

WeAreChange members saw an advertisement to Powell's engagement in the Vancouver Sun claiming no questions were off limits. Powell was in town to talk about Leadership in the 21st Century. Three members of WeAreChange and a member of Vancouver 911 Truth purchased tickets and attended in order to ask Powell about Depleted Uranium use, which he is on the record for saying is safe.

Cancer rates and birth defects have skyrocketed in civilian populations with infants being born grotesquely deformed. Depleted Uranium is also killing American soldiers and being passed on to their offspring.

We were surprised to learn on arrival that the organizers were only going to "pick" a couple of pre-written questions. Talk about false advertising.

The only assault we witnessed might have been on the female member of our group who was manhandled while being ejected or on Mike's camera as Mike feels it was targeted Mike felt that the police inside the jail were very surprised that he was incarcerated on "trespassing" charges.

Another one of our members was followed home on his bike and stopped twice for not wearing a helmet. Harassment?

Mike was taken to the VPD lock-up at 222 Main Street. We had a representative from Lawyers Against War call on our behalf and secure Mike's release 8 hours later.

War Crimes , Crimes against Humanity and Torture are crimes in Canada. Peacefully filming a public event is not.

I called the Vancouver police at 604-717-3535. You should too. This is about a person with a camera being arrested for no purpose other than to silence the media, IN A FREE COUNTRY! IN OUR COUNTRY!

The Police in Vancouver appear to have gone rogue. The Police in Vancouver have demonstrated up to this point that they are are not responsive to public concern. This is the sort of thing that leads to armed insurrection. Free people forcibly remove tyrants no matter how large. If other police agencies in the country go rogue as well, prepare for Canada's first Civil War. While our movement is peaceful, the movements that follow may not be.

The Vancouver Police need to understand their role in these momentus times. Police are needed to defend the people as they speak truth to power. The police are there to protect the people and pursue the criminals. In this event we have seen the police abuse the people and protect the criminals.

The Vancouver Police need to be properly disciplined.

Hey Carl, you will be held accountable for the crimes you have committed. I'm so glad you and your cronies like coming up here to give paid speeches, I hope you all continue that practice. Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Department of Justice and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have a War Crimes Program that we need to introduce you too. The great thing about Canada's social programs is not the abstract knowledge that the programs exist, it's getting into the programs and using them for their intended purposes.

The policy of the Canadian Government is unequivocal: Canada is not and will not become a safe haven for persons involved in war crimes, crimes against humanity or other reprehensible acts regardless of when or where they occurred.

As my MP told me 'It is important to understand what the legal definition of a war criminal is before you accuse someone of it.' In Canada we have the The Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act. A really cool part is Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act SCHEDULE: PROVISIONS OF ROME STATUTE PARAGRAPH 2 OF ARTICLE 8 War crimes 2 (a) (ii) which states:

2 For the purpose of this Statute, “war crimes” means: (a) grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, namely, any of the following acts against persons or property protected under the provisions of the relevant Geneva Convention:
(ii) torture or inhuman treatment, including biological experiments;

This means anyone involved with torture is a war criminal. Water boarding is torture Carl. You may think you have some clever thought to get around that, but you are wrong. Water boarding people is torture. You were involved, you are a war criminal.

If you are wondering about Canadian courts and their jurisdiction in these areas you might want to look at what the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act says about this:

Active nationality and territorial jurisdiction, which ensures Canada holds jurisdiction over crimes committed on Canadian territory and by Canadians anywhere in the world;
Passive nationality jurisdiction, which gives Canada jurisdiction over crimes committed against Canadian nationals; and
Universal jurisdiction, which allows Canada to prosecute any individual present in Canada for crimes listed in the CAHWCA - regardless of that individual's nationality or where the crimes were committed
This wide-ranging approach is consistent with Canada's previous war crimes policy.
