What is the new War in Georgia about?
Submitted by plutus on Mon, 08/11/2008 - 01:17
The Georgian government is a member of the 'coalition of the willing' meaning they have troops in Iraq and support the U.S. in Iraq.
The United States finished a military training exercise in Georgia for Georgia troops on July 31st 2008. The subject of the exercise is to 'purge villages of terrorists'. The Georgian army put this training into action when they took hostile action in South Ossetia.
Watch this video of a man that claims to be an American in Georgia. First hand account of what's happening from a Russian television station.
The United States has begun to use their military resources to help Georgia move their troops back into Georgia. If one of those troop planes get hit, this is going to get very, very ugly.
